How to find papers

Trying to find papers can be a daunting prospect. There was an estimated 2.8 million papers released in in 2022 alone (reference). So where do we start when it's impossible to be reading all of these. Well there are several options and some easy steps to take to start your research journey off.

First off let's talk about what a paper is. Papers are where scientific research is published. The way the data is collected and analysed can vary massively between different papers however, there are some main points that are fairly universal across papers. We have guide about the different types of papers you'll find here so if you are interested in finding out more please take a look!

At the Asclepius group we release short detailed descriptions of different papers that have been released. These vary in size and impact but all are interesting and cover a wide range of topics in the medical world so we're sure there will be something that is of interest to you. Keep up to date by looking under the 'research' tab at the top of the page and see what is being talked about now. We also link every paper so you can view it yourself, however, not all papers are free to access but we have a list of resources here  that you can use to gain access without having to pay for each paper.

There are several large medical journals and news outlets that you can keep an eyes on to see what is being talked about.
